So the mere fact that Golden Gate Bridge and Homosexuality are linked in the mind with San Francisco displays a spirit of opposition to God's Law and especially the immaculate conception of Jesus.

Now, ask where it is located. West. Where does Jesus come from? East. Opposites. So my guess it that this is very important and is a physical symbol of opposition to a spiritual manifestation of God's Holy Law.
Of course you can look up purely physical facts but every city has a "spirit" and there are some who actually battle the "demonic spiritual strongholds" that each city represents. I'd guess this for San Francisco.
Oh, one more. What color is the Golden Gate Bridge? Gold. What color is the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge. Red. Symbolism.
