Note: I just finished creating and uploading this one. I have a story HERE about my friend, Mark DeAlessandro, wherein I say he keeps introducing me to his friends as working for PBS and having won an Emmy. I say how embarrassing that is he never gets it right no matter how many times I correct him. In my story I say I might as well DO that so at least he will be right when he says it. I think I just did it. These stories and videos of mine are works of art. Take a look...
"Texas Tales from a Lone Star" by Angel Isaacs presents:
"The Last Time I Saw Rick-a-Shay"
In April 2021 I asked my friend, Chris Max, If I could bring my friend, Gabriel Lewandowski, to play drums with him at his Jam Night at Parmer Lane Tavern in Austin, Texas. To me, this was the culmination of my "Texas Tales from a Lone Star" documentation series of professional local musicians in the "Live Music Capital of the World." To me, Chris was the pinnacle. To me, Gabriel was the pinnacle of the 12 years I spent in the professional local musician scene of Orlando, Florida. I write short-stories about my life. I've done this since 1985. My stories are on my website and in my books. I had envisioned a local professional musician Jam Night at my home on "The Island on Lake Travis." I had asked Chris to host it. He had said, "yes." My first Speaker was "Rick-a-Shay." I have his life story, told by him, on film, at the Island. On this special night I had invited Rick-a-Shay to come to Parmer Lane Tavern. He already knew Gabe from that night he spoke at the Island. Gabe had been there. I filmed that also. Rick was the roadie for Stevie Ray Vaughn, in the early years, the Austin years. This would be the last time I would see Rick before his death. He came to Parmer Lane for me. My documentation style is to simply show you what I, myself, saw. My film style is just using my phone camera. This puts you right there, as it was. xo Angel Isaacs
