This is one of the very best local Professional Musicians in Austin, Texas, "Live Music Capital of the World." No one is better than Dawn Maracle. No one. Dawn was my Speaker at my 2nd "Dinner at the Island" at "The Island on Lake Travis" in Lago Vista, Texas. Lago Vista is just outside of Austin. I'll be having my next "Dinner at the Island" February 22, 2024 from 7-9 pm, check out my flyer pinned to the top of my page.
Dawn brought an overflowing table's worth of her memorabilia to the Dinner. That episode is on my website. You can also just scroll down this page and find it. She spoke to us about her lifelong career and many accomplishments. There is no doubt of that when she picks up her guitar, her bass, her microphone, or simply walks on stage. The best part of the evening was when Gabriel was showing his skill on the drums. Dawn picked up her bass and joined him. There is just something magic about watching people who have dedicated their lifetimes to their skills. That's what we saw that night at our Dinner. Like I said, just scroll.
This video has Gabriel on the drums and Dawn on guitar and singing. I had arranged this night to be able to film them at what I considered to be the best venue for showcasing the professional level of local talent we have in this center of the music world. My friend, Jim Gough Jr. also graced us with his presence. He is a multi-generation musician in the Austin area and one of our best as well. I have videos with Jim, but this particular one has Chris' friend, Jeff Lynn, on the bass. Jeff hangs with Chris. That's all you have to know. He's good, the best.
