This is a video of the first work I've had done to my Ozarks property, "Angel Creek," in about a year. Before that I had it worked on for 2 years. When I went there a few weeks ago I couldn't park on my land, I never have been able to, and I couldn't see much due to the overgrown weeds. So the first half of this video was taken today, before the work, and is what I saw when I was there recently. Next week the new guy I've hired (my lady with a chainsaw had surgery and couldn't continue) will push the tree line back some more.
The property has the road frontage you can see here, 200 feet, and is 2 plus football fields, end to end, in length, like a long rectangle. There is a dry creek beside my blue cabin. My goal has always been to clear the land enough that I can see my creek easily and so I can pick the best view for the cabin, which I will then move.
I picture a fence around the front, a porch around the cabin, and a gorgeous view looking down into the distance because the property slopes. I want to sit on the back porch (cabin turned sideways) and look down the slope. It is really beautiful. The first half of this video is how it looked when the new guy started. The second half is how it looked after he finished. I told him to look for a parking spot for me and he said my best bet is on my far boundary. This is fun! xo Angel
