My friend for the past 7 + years (a month before my granddaughter, Laileigh was born; Mark taught her her first stunt and one of her first words, “Hallelujah,” when she was 4 months old & she has had Mark in her life since then and attended several workshops) Mark DeAlessandro (Sylvester Stallone’s stunt double for 25 years plus more), just sent me this. A Cowboy, horse expert, famous guy, filmed it. It’s his Nashville recent stunt workshop.
I met Mark through a mutual actress friend, at my first “Dinner with Dreamers” dinner in Austin, Texas in 2017. The hosts were Kyle Saylors of Saylors Brothers Films/Entertainment and Brenda Golden as in William Lee Golden of the Oak Ridge Boys,, the one with the long hair, yeah him. I see Kyle in the audience, on his phone, always busy, always dreaming. We had just attended Kyle’s 10th Anniversary event at the Johnny Cash Hideaway Farm near Nashville. (See my photo albums, or scroll down my page.) Laileigh, now 7, and I flew there from Texas a couple of weeks ago.
Anyway… Mark just sent me this. I’m probably on his mind because I’ve been sending him my latest 3 short-stories this morning as I wrote them. I always do. A dozen or more of my stories are about Mark, a true man of God. He’s in the Hollywood Stuntmen Hall of Fame, well deserved. Think Rambo, Rocky, Cliffhanger, the Specialist, Daybreak, then there’s the 350 or more feature films he’s performed his stunts in: Titanic, Spider-Man, Batman, Star Trek, Terminator, Matrix, on and on and on. Yes, I’m proud of him. He’s asked me over and over to organize a stunt workshop here (or anywhere). That’s actually why we were on the Dreamer’s Cruise last March, I had that in mind and we were exploring the idea. Most, if not all, of the people in this video are in our Dreamers group, there that weekend. When I saw the guy’s page who filmed this was filled with Cowboys and horses another idea, a previous one, re-occurred to me. Let’s just say I took Mark to meet my Cowboys with horses friend’s ranch and you can find my Cowboy type adventures on my website. One of my favorites is “Cowboys and Werewolves” lol.
If your interested in this idea, attending a stunt workshop, send me a private message so I know. Go read my stories and watch my videos. They are part of my “Texas Tales from a Lone Star” series of television shows and short-stories I’ve been creating since 2014, here in Central Texas. Here’s my friend Mark:
