Imagining Land

Today’s interest… I’ve started working on my Ozarks land again, after a year. Before that I had it worked on for 2 years. So this is just reclaiming what was already done. We cleared the 200’ road frontage, boundary to boundary. Then we pushed back the weeds & saplings to 30’ behind the cabin. Today it has been recleared and pushed back about 150’ behind the cabin. It is a rectangle 2 football fields deep. It angles down which is going to make a beautiful view. The assignment for my local worker guy next is to clear a path down the middle to the very back, locate the two back boundary markers, and look for the wet creek. It has a dry creek beginning at the blue cabin, extending the entire distance and a second dry creek parallel to it. My mind is picturing the beauty it could be, even if I have to place pumps and contain and recirculate water I bring in. I’m picturing a waterfall once I can remove enough brush to see where one could be placed. This land is actually closer to what I envisioned at Chapelgate before I bought it. Chapelgate was supposed to originally just be my private, family home. It was too appealing to the public however so I turned it into a semi-public Eden with controlled access. This one is already private because it has never even been cleared. You have to be able to see the shape of the land and imagine it. Just click on the link for the videos of the work so far.
