Gabe and Angel check out a Harley Davidson Dealership (the first thing Gabe always wants to do when he comes to town, anywhere). Then, they head to The Post in Cedar Park, Texas where Angel's friends the local legends Glen Collins (vocals/guitar) and Allen Kentfield (on pedal steel) are performing Country music. After that they go to the Lone Star Bar in Jonestown, Texas which is a major hub for professional local musicians. Angel has previously made friends and performed here for Jam nights. Her friend Johnny Bates welcomes her and Gabe and what you see is how the musicians were able to all perform immediately together with no previous experience with each other. Angel's friend, Roberto, is also a major part of the local professional musician scene in Central Texas, and is playing guitar. This was the first venue and the first musicians Gabe met. They will be in future episodes as he returns to Austin, along with other musicians and venues.

Angel:
I spent 12 years in the Central Florida/Orlando local professional musician scene. I met Gabriel Lewandowski, drummer, and we became friends. I consider Gabe to be the top musician there. So, when I moved back home, to Austin, Texas to be near my family I invited Gabriel to help me create "Texas Tales from a Lone Star." I have a BA in Mass Communication Radio/TV from Abilene Christian University. I've studied Scriptwriting at the University of Texas and Stories in Film at the University of Central Florida. In addition, I have extensive Creative Writing and Documentation training. So I became a Producer at Channel Austin. My approved project was "Texas Tales from a Lone Star," television series. I produced a Season of 17 30 minute television shows. My focus was on the professional local musicians and venues in Austin, Texas and surrounding areas. Austin is "The Live Music Capital of the World." That means it is the home to a diverse and exceptionally talented underground of local musicians. I explored this and filmed episodes for "Texas Tales from a Lone Star." I eventually decided to continue this as an Independent Producer. I broadened my focus to include interesting places, events, people, attractions, history, etc. My videos are supplemented with my short-stories, there are over 350 of my short-stories available to read on my website. This work ties in to my previous, current and future work. I have the books I've written available on my website.
In this first episode I documented the first time Gabriel flew from Orlando to Austin to help me. I write soft, Christian, folk acoustic. Gabe is hardcore, with international touring band experience in addition to Florida Death Metal and Classic Rock. We focused on venues that would have a drum kit set up in a Jam night format. That way Gabe could just fly to Austin and we could go to the various venues I had already scouted out and/or knew the musicians hosting the Jams. So what you are seeing is a professional independent musician walking into venues he has never been to before to play drums with musicians he has never met before. It is a testament to the quality and welcoming spirit of the venues and musicians in these documentary films. Angel Isaacs Creator/Producer of "Texas Tales from a Lone Star."
